I wrote a battle rap about the second edition of the Museum of Contemporary Art Toronto’s Greater Toronto Area themed triennial, GTA24, but I’ve been informed that if I were to battle rap it would be “cringe” and “embarrassing,” so I wrote a review for Peripheral instead.
I was asked to write a response to the opening event of Implicit Choreographies & Relational Topographies, a series of public programs centred around the Don River Valley, organized by Pumice Raft and chris mendoza in the summer and fall of 2022. Click here to see documentation of the walk, helmed by Ellen Schwartzel of the Toronto Field Naturalists, here for a shot of my perennially dirty trail runners (this is not Nike sponcon) and here for my thoughts on walking tours (including all the most exciting parts of my 2022 tour of Fenway Park).
I'm reading a new piece at Probably Poetry at the Tranzac's Southern Cross room on Tuesday, March 5th, 2024 (doors at 7pm).
I wrote a review of my trip to the Niagara Falls Rainforest Cafe Micah Adams’ A Tangent Line Gently Touching Coins at Toronto’s MKG127 for Peripheral Review!
I set out to write about Parastoo Anoushahpour, Faraz Anoushahpour and Ryan Ferko’s “interactive” "web” “documentary” Charity, but ended up on a jaunt through Guy Maddin’s My Winnipeg, two of my favorite deep-cut NFB documentaries and Canadian civic jeremiads for Cornelia Magazine. Free copies available at Art Metropole in Toronto and you can read it online here!
