I set out to write about Parastoo Anoushahpour, Faraz Anoushahpour and Ryan Ferko’s “interactive” "web” “documentary” Charity, but ended up on a jaunt through Guy Maddin’s My Winnipeg, two of my favorite deep-cut NFB documentaries and Canadian civic jeremiads for Cornelia Magazine. My essay Sitting With It appeared in the Peripheral Review 2022 Print Publication as a feature essay. I read a portion of it at the publication launch hosted on Zoom and in-person at Vancouver's READ Books. Here is video documentation of the reading.
